Vegan Drinks Philly THIS Thursday!

Vegan Drinks Philly
10.22.09 from 5:30-8:30
@ Horizons (downstairs)
611. S 7th St.

This is just another gentle reminder that Vegan Drinks Philly is THIS Thursday from 5:30 to 8:30. Make note that this month the event will be held in the downstairs area of Horizons.

The event is open to vegans, vegetarians, and the veg-curious. That means everyone! Also, you do not need to be 21 to come and it is pay as you go, there is no cover fee. Lastly, you do not have to RSVP to attend.

It seems like attendance is slightly down this month, so please bring friends! Vegan Drinks Philly is not only a great way for seasoned activists to stay connected and make contacts, but it's also a great place to introduce non-vegans to the idea of veganism.

If you haven't done so, please sign up for the email subscription to receive updates. Facebook is very restrictive with message sending, so sometimes updates will be sent out through here that will not be sent through Facebook.

All you need to do this Thursday is show up! Bring friends too! See you there!!

The event is on October 21 (fast approaching). Dinner will start at 7:00 PM, but come at 6:30 for a cash bar and to mingle.

Dinner includes a prix fixe menu of an appetizer, an entree and a drink (a selection of a few alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided), and is offered at the discount price of $30 with advance payment by Oct 20. (Dessert and additional beverages are optional and extra.)

Our event is just one of many in 350 Philly's week of climate action. 350.org is an international campaign dedicated to building a movement to unite the world around solutions to the climate crisis--the solutions that justice demands. 350 Philly is the local 350.org effort.

If you are not on the Animal ACTivists of Philadelphia calender, you NEED TO BE! There are demonstrations and events almost daily that are highly under-attended.

The animals need our help and need us to be their voice. Even if you can only offer a couple of hours, it's better than nothing! Look how many of us attend Vegan Drinks each month. Imagine if we could transfer that energy to the streets to change hearts and minds!

MAJOR, MAJOR HELP is needed to staff the upcoming UniverSoul Circus making an extended stay at Fairmount Park near the end of this month.

After a two year absence, the UniverSoul Circus is back in Philly. .

We will be doing pre-circus leafleting in the weeks prior to the circus's arrival as well as demonstrations at every evening and weekend show.

PLEASE head over to and sign up for Animal ACTivists of Philly for more info!!

Make sure you know when the next event is by subscribing. Your email will only be used for and by Vegan Drinks Philly.
